Even though today was not a construction day, it was still a very busy day. After our morning devo, we loaded over 300 bags of food which we then went and distributed. Afterwards, we visited a special needs school and our students were able to spend some time loving on those sweet sweet children. Next up was a tourist stop to the Jesus statue. It was sweet! Then we visited a blind school. Those children sang several songs for us and it was lovely.
We then went out for dinner and then went to a dessert place for our banquet. Our banquet is just a night of us relaxing and enjoying each other's company. We also honored the minister and his family from Union (where we built houses and hosted a VBS) and also honored Tim (the gentlemen who lines up the houses and gets the wood to the site for us). Both of these families are God-fearing and God-loving families.
Overall, this trip was long but fruitful. God was good to us and kept us safe while here. The people God allowed us to serve were so thankful. Please continue to pray for the work in Honduras.
On July 17, we will be having our mission trip presentation so stay tuned for more details and pictures.
